PLAYER↴ Name: Knux Contact: [Bad username or site: ”AshBlaze” @ ”plurk.com”] Other Characters: Yuzu Hiiragi (Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC V) CHARACTER↴ Character Name: Son Goku Age: 43 (actual), 35 (technical, due to being dead for a combined 8 years) Species: Saiyan Canon: Dragon Ball Canon Point: post-Tournament of Power Saga (end of Dragon Ball Super as of March 2018 Character Info: http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Goku Personality: Despite his suspiciously Superman-like origins, Goku is NOT like the Man of Steel at all. Having spent most of his childhood living alone, travelling the world, training in martial arts and saving the world from evil threats, Goku’s incredibly naive and simple-minded in his thinking. He’s not afraid to say what’s on his mind, even if what it is is detrimental to himself, his friends, the world or even the entire multiverse. Because he prefers a good fight over doing something menial, Goku has a terribly bad habit of trying to slink off from his job or his entire family to go practice or train with someone somewhere, disappearing for hours, days or even months at a time to their frustration. He’s also not a good planner as Goku can come up with decent ideas from time to time, but they fall apart due to not thinking things through. Despite all these downsides, Goku is actually a very kind-hearted person. Where his fellow full-blooded Saiyan Vegeta can be quite ruthless in battle and took him years to accept the fact that he has things to protect outside of that stubborn pride of his, Goku is the kind of guy who cherishes everyone he meets. Many of his friends started out as rivals or even flat out enemies who threatened, injured or even killed his friends in battle. Despite this, Goku doesn’t attack to kill. He will pummel you, humiliate you, overpower you and show you why what you did is wrong, but he will never try to kill you unless he has no other recourse. Of course, when his friends are threatened in a way to try to hurt Goku, that is a good way to get Goku pissed off - Frieza murdering his best friend Krillin and nearly killing Piccolo was what caused Goku to obtain the legendary Super Saiyan form, using it to dominate Frieza in battle. Despite being the main character of the series, Goku doesn’t see himself as a hero at all, or at the very least, the “hero of justice” type that actively tries to stop all evil and do good. In his mind, if you’re going around actively bullying and harming people, then he’s going to stop you, but all he really wants is a good fight. This is probably seen best with the lead up to the Tournament of Power where the warrior Toppo declared Goku evil for putting the idea of a Tournament in the Zen’Os minds. Goku was quite fine with it, as it just meant that he got to fight more stronger opponents. All in all, Goku is a very simple man with a big ol’ heart of gold. Abilities: It’s actively hard to pin down just how stupidly powerful Goku is as the various media he shows up just goes over the top and isn’t really consistent. Despite that, Goku does have incredible abilities. At a very basic level, Goku has decades of Kung-Fu training due to training with his adopted grandfather Son Gohan and with the Turtle Hermit, Master Roshi. As a Saiyan, Goku has immense ki control, which allows him to increase his strength, speed and durability where basic unpowered humans and their weapons can’t hurt him at all. He can sense the ki of other beings (but is unable to sense God ki at all), lower and raise the amount of ki available to him as needed and can use it to fly in the air and fire bursts of energy as well as small shockwaves. Something that makes him a fearful opponent is a racial ability known as “Saiyan Power”, which allows him or any Saiyan to receive a power boost should they either battle a strong opponent or survive a near-fatal attack from an opponent. In terms of attacks, Goku has a number of them, though none really of his own. His main attack is the Kamehameha, the Turtle School’s signature attack, firing a powerful stream of ki energy at his opponent, one that can be increased through his various transformations. He has shown the ability to use the Destructo-Disk, Krillin’s signature “cut anything” ki attack, and Tien’s Solar Flare blinding ability. His ultimate attack, however, is the Spirit Bomb, which allows Goku to gather energy from all living things into one massive ball of ki energy and throw it. Though its basic form is just a small ball on his hand, sufficiently powerful foes will make him create larger and larger Spirit Bombs. Though not an attack, Goku has the ability known as Instant Transmission, which allows him to teleport to a person’s side by locking onto a person’s ki and essentially teleporting over to them, crossing long distances to do so. On top of this is Goku’s various transformations. His first “basic” transformation is the usage of the Kaio-Ken (literally, “King Kai Fist”), which amplifies Goku’s strength up to a multiple of 20, though causing heavy strain higher it goes. His real transformation is the Super Saiyan form, which increases his power by a multiple of 50 and creating a gold aura that turns his dark hair gold. He has two other stages to this - Super Saiyan 2 and 3 - which are demonstrated through even higher power boosts and different hair styles, but he really doesn’t use these due to the unreliability of them. Beyond this is “Super Saiyan God”, which allows Goku to tap into his godly ki and obtain even greater power than the Super Saiyan forms. Combining that with Super Saiyan allows him to reach the form known as “Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan” (or Super Saiyan Blue for short) and he can combine that with the Kaio-Ken. His ultimate form, however, is Ultra Instinct, which makes him so fast and so powerful, he can surpass gods. However, seeing as the only way he can access this is if the threat he’s facing can cause the end of existence, forcing Goku to go above and beyond his limits, I doubt we’ll be seeing this. However, he does have a few weaknesses. First is the infamous Saiyan hunger. Expending so much energy causes him to suffer from hunger, so he’ll easily clean out stores to sate that hunger. The biggest one is “delayed onset ki disorder”, which completely and utterly throws off Goku’s ki should he recklessly use his abilities in near suicidal ways. This means being unable to fly correctly and his Instant Transmission sending him to other places other than where he wants to go. So that Goku doesn’t bend the game over backwards and break things by just powering up, I would like to have Goku’s power level limited to being a basic Super Saiyan at the very most and that pushing himself any higher will force him to be inflicted with delayed onset ki disorder for at least one event. (Also, just to point out, Goku has an item that can teleport himself to or bring to him Zen’O the Omni-King, a multiversal god with a child-like body and curiosity who can easily obliterate entire timelines. I’d like to assume Goku gave this up to the Ringmaster, showed her how to use it and introduced her to both the normal Zen’O and his counterpart from Future Trunks’ former timeline [it’s a long story] with the caveat that it’s a major last-ditch item should things go so pear-shaped no one or nothing can save them.) CARNIVAL↴ Soul Colour: Gold/Yellow Ideal Jobs: Bouncer or Patrol Relevant Experience: Beyond being a fighter, Goku has been made a bouncer of sorts during a function ran by Bulma. He found it incredibly boring (as he did all other jobs), but it’s the best thing for him. (Also, he’s stupidly powerfu and skilledl, so there’s that) Reason for Joining: With the fact that the carnival can effectively drop him back in at any time without anyone wondering where he disappeared to (especially Chichi), he wants to use the year here to train further. Because why not? There’s still limits to smash! SAMPLES↴ Goku let out a humongous yawn as he sat in his spot as a Carnival Bouncer. When he agreed to this job, he didn’t think it would be this boring! It seemed like nothing was happening at all! His eyes wandered back and forth, checking the various people walking through the carnival in a bored-like manner. “Man, it sure is slow.” he grumbled. “When I agreed to this job, I thought there would be a lot more action, not just… this!” He looked around a little bit. “Y’know, maybe I could just slip away just a little bit… heheheh…” As Goku tried his darnedest to slip away, there was the sound of commotion in the background; two potential customers were arguing one of the cashiers. “Uh-oh, sounds like trouble.” Without giving it a second thought, he floated over to the two rowdy customers. “Woah, now, no need to threaten people.” “Stay out of this, old man!” one of the troublemakers shouted. “Unless you want us to roughen you up, too!” “Look, if you guys are going to threaten people, I’m gonna hafta ask you to leave.” Goku said, crossing his arms and looking perplexed: why were they acting this way? One of the troublemakers responded with a punch to Goku’s face, not even fazing the Saiyan but causing the troublemaker intense pain. “Now, see? If you hadn’t tried that, you wouldn’t of gotten hurt…” As the other troublemaker struck, Goku absentmindedly caught the fist being thrown at him and pushed back… sending the troublemaker rolling into the forest nearby. “Whoops! Ahahaha! Sorry, I guess I got just a tad carried away there!” “Who is this guy?!” the remaining troublemaker replied in shock. Granted, it seemed like a few others wanted to know, too... |
